Assalamualaikum, peace be upon you
let start off with an analogy:
today, your friend ask you to come over for dinner, as the house is finally finished its final touch up, so your friend wants you to have the first look.
when you drove to the address given you, all you could see are pillars, standing upright on the ground. no walls, garage, the rooftop, window pane, everything. you couldn't just simply interprete what's in front of you as a house, although they firmly stood there.
the same thing goes with Islam
Islam is on the foundation of five pillars, syahadah, five times a day prayers, fasting in the month of Ramdhan, making zakat and performing pilgrimage for those who are capable. However, just having all of them wouldn't certainly grant you the title as a true Muslim. we need the 'walls', the 'roof', the 'furniture', 'Dulux weather paint' on our walls, beautiful garden and all sort of decorations until you can call it a 'house', get it?
performing solah, but negleting other parts of Islam such as akhlak, interaction, and shariah, would only make us just a part of Islam.
"O' you who have Faith! enter you all into submission (to Allah in being in peace), and follow not the footsteps of Satan, for he is a manifest foe for you."
"But if you slip after clear arguments have come to you, then know that Allah is the Mighty, the Wise."
(Al-Baqarah, 2:208-209)
come, let us together fill up our houses, with everything that it should have, and only then invite me tor dinner!
